Location: Longs, SC

Aberdeen is a 27-hole Tom Jackson design that meanders through a natural wetland preserve.

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC

Arcadian Shores was the first course designed by renowned architect Rees Jones.  It is a traditional layout using the natural features of the land and well-placed bunkers. With vastly improved course condition, the new management team has restored the luster on this fantastic layout.

Great Raymond Floyd 27 hole design. Some holes are set along the scenic Intra Coastal Waterway.

Azalea Sands is one the of older courses on the Grand Strand.  It is a good course for novice golfers and is just minutes from any point on the Grand Strand.

One of the top-rated public courses in the U.S., the Pete Dye Course at Barefoot Resort lives up to its name.

Davis Love III designed a beautiful course, using the natural features of the land and throwing in some unique features, such as artificial ruins of a plantation house.

Popular golfer Greg Norman’s Barefoot Resort course features views of the Intracoastal Waterway and generous use of waste bunkers and natural grasses.

Built in 1968, Beachwood is centrally located in North Myrtle Beach, and is a player friendly Gene Hamm design.

Location: Murrells Inlet, SC

Blackmoor is a fantastic Gary Player signature course.  Blackmoor is a traditional design, set among old hard woods and tall pines.  This course will really punish you if you don’t keep it in the fairway.

Location: Ocean Isle Beach, NC

Brick Landing offers golfers scenic views of the Intracoastal Waterway.  The course also has several holes featuring salt marshes.  The course is relatively short, yet challenging.

A Willard Byrd and Clyde Johnston design, Brunswick Plantation is a 27-hole facility offering wide fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and a great clubhouse.

Burning Ridge, a Gene Hamm design, was the 2006 Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year, and 2006 South Carolina Golf Course of the Year.

Caledonia Golf & Fish Club is perennially ranked as one of the top golf courses in the U.S.

Location: Leland, NC

Cape Fear National is the newest golf course on the Grand Strand.  This beautiful course was designed by Tim Cate, who designed Leopard’s Chase, Tiger’s Eye, Panther’s Run, and Thistle Golf Clubs.

Location: Bolivia, NC

A 27-hole Fred Couples signature golf facility set along the Lockwood Folly River, Carolina National is one of the most scenic courses in the area.

A 18-hole Myrtle Beach area golf course that offers a classic design and a commitment to excellence.

Location: Longs, SC

Colonial Charters Golf Club is unique parkland style course, located on SC Hwy 9 in Longs, SC.

Location: Calabash, NC

Featuring one of the best collections of par 3’s on the beach, Crow Creek is a challenge for players of all ability. Crow Creek is known for its lightning fast bent grass greens and perfectly manicured fairways and bunkers.

At Crown Park Golf Club, 18 beautiful holes are carved through a peaceful pine forest. You will find no homes or condos on this course to distract you from this truly scenic layout. Extensive mounding and large undulating TifEagle greens complete an experience not soon forgotten.

Robert Trent Jones masterpiece. The only Myrtle Beach course to be ranked as one of the “Top 100 Courses in America” by both Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine.

Location: SC Hwy 9 Loris, SC

One of the best values on the Grand Strand. Natural wetlands and pristine forest areas. Greens have undulations that are a challenge to putt.

Location: Little River, SC

Eagle Nest boasts having the three toughest finishing holes on the beach.

Location: Little River, SC

Eastport is nestled along the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway. Each hole presents a new look and demands skillful shot-making around the greens.

Location: Calabash, NC

Farmstead is a Scottish style course with a 767-yard par 6 finishing hole – the only par 6 on the Grand Strand. Another unique feature is that the course straddles the North Carolina/South Carolina border.

Founder’s Club is located on what  was formerly Sea Gull Golf Club.  The course was thoroughly upgraded, redesigned, and rebuilt.

Glen Dornoch is a scenic, challenging course built along the Intracoastal Waterway.

Location: Conway, SC

The General James Hackler Golf Course (formerly Quail Creek) is owned by Coastal Carolina University.  It is open to the public, but is not available for package play.  Contact the course directly to arrange a round.

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC

Grande Dunes is a spectacular 18-hole championship golf course sculpted into a naturally wooded landscape adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway.  The course was selected as the 2009 National Golf Course of the Year by the National Golf Course Owners Association.

Ranked among the “50 Best Public Courses in America” by Golf Digest, the Par 71 Heritage Club, a Dan Maples design, follows the natural contours of the land, stretching out beside long abandoned rice fields. The Heritage Club is a tremendous layout! 

Location: Murrells Inlet, SC

Nominated for best new course in 1991 by Golf Digest. Indigo Creek is an exciting course with a significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water.

The International Club of Myrtle Beach Golf Course, located in Murrells Inlet, SC.

Location: US 501 Myrtle Beach, SC

King’s North is an Arnold Palmer design, which is perenially ranked among the best public courses in the U.S.

The Heathland Course is a Par 71 designed by Tom Doak.  It is a traditional links style course with holes reminiscent of courses found in the British Isles.

The Moorland Course was designed by P.B. Dye, son of noted golf course architect Pete Dye.  The course is reminiscent of his father’s PGA West Stadium Course design with its waste areas, undulations and bulkheads.

The Parkland Course is modeled after the style of architects Alister MacKenzie, (Augusta National) and George Thomas (Riviera Country Club). Playing the unforgettably challenging fairway and green-side bunkering requires a deft touch off the tee and on the approach. From tee to green, strategy will be the order of the day on this stunning, par-72 playing field.

Recognized By Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine as one of the Top 10 New Public Courses in America for 2007, Leopard’s Chase Golf Club is the crown jewel course at Ocean Ridge Plantation.

The first of the “Big Cats” courses, Lion’s Paw was designed by renowned architect Willard Byrd.  This course has some of the toughest Par 3’s on the Grand Strand.

With fairways lined by ancient oak trees on the former site of a Carolina rice plantation, Litchfield Country Club will give you the feeling of a classic lowcountry private club.

Location: Supply, NC

Bordered by the Lockwood Folly River and the Intra-coastal Waterway, Lockwood Folly Golf Links is a hidden gem!

This Jack Nicklaus designed course is considered one of the most difficult on the Grand Strand

This enjoyable Dan Maples design is known for its island greens.

SouthCreek is an Arnold Palmer design placed in coastal wetlands and hardwood forests.  The course is not long, but it requires good course management and accuracy.

Meadowlands is a fun course that will suit all golfers. Built and operated to Audubon International’s stringent guidelines for environmental protection, Meadowlands employs conservation management practices which stress preservation of the native vegetation and wildlife unique to coastal Carolina.

An Arnold Palmer design, the West Course offers one of the toughest layouts in the area.  From the regular tees, golfers of all abilities will enjoy this course, but if you take on the back tees you better have your “A” game.

The Palmetto Course at Myrtlewood has been a Myrtle Beach favorite for over 30 years.  The finishing holes along the Intracoastal Waterway are among the most interesting in the area.

The Pine Hills course at Myrtlewood is centrally located in Myrtle Beach.  It is the first and only course on the Grand Strand designed by well-known architect Arthur Hills.

Oyster Bay is one of the most visually stunning courses in the area.  Lots of marsh views and wildlife.

This Myrtle Beach area golf course, Panther’s Run, is the second addition to the “Big Cats” at Ocean Ridge Plantation golf complex.

Pawleys Plantation is a scenic Jack Nicklaus design.  The layout highlights the beautiful lowcountry salt marshes in which the course is situated.

The Pearl Golf Course is a fantastic 27-hole layout, with a dynamic views along the Calabash River on two of the nine-hole courses.

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC

Known as “The Grandaddy,” Pine Lakes is rich in Myrtle Beach golf history.  The course was recently renovated from top to bottom, and the “new” layout is a superb blend of traditional and modern golf course design.

Location: Surfside Beach, SC

One of the best-kept secrets on the Grand Strand, Prestwick was touted as Myrtle Beach’s “Hidden Gem” by Golf Digest.

True to its name, the River Club features water on 15 of 18 holes. The dramatic par-5, 18th is unquestionably one of the finest finishing holes on the Grand Strand.  

Location: Little River, SC

River Hills is one of Tom Jackson’s finest designs.  The course layout is excellent, and offers elevation changes that are rarely found in the Myrtle Beach area.  
The back-nine is one of the most challenging on the Grand Strand.

Location: Wallace, NC

A stunning 36-hole layout, River Landing is located on I-40, about 45 minutes west of Wilmington, NC.  This course is perfect for golfers headed into the Grand Strand from the north.

Location: US 501 in Myrtle Beach, SC

Under new management, River Oaks has returned with enhanced course conditions and better playability. River Oaks is a 27-hole complex conveniently located off US 501 in Myrtle Beach.

Location: Shallotte, NC

An Arnold Palmer signature course, River’s Edge is ranked as one of the top public courses in the country.  Set along the Shallotte River, it offers plenty of challenges in a unique natural environment.

Location: Sunset Beach, NC

A 27-hole Myrtle Beach area golf course that offers a classic design and a commitment to excellence.  Sandpiper Bay is a local’s favorite.

Sea Trail Willard Byrd Course Sunset Beach NC

Location: Sea Trail Resort, Sunset Beach, NC

Each hole of the Willard Byrd Course is memorable for both beauty and exacting play.

Sea Trail – Jones is a tremendous Rees Jones layout that provides an extraordinary golf experience. This layout encompasses all of Rees Jones’ signature design attributes, including wide fairways and distinctive bunkers. Recently renovated, this Sunset Beach, NC area golf course is a must play!

This Dan Maples beauty makes good use of the landscape.  The course has rivers, ponds and wetlands.  It is not a long course, but it requires accuracy and good course management.

Shaftesbury Glen is a fantastic tree-lined layout with wide fairways and elevated Bent greens protected with cavernous bunkers.

Thistle is a great 27-hole links-style design.  It is consistently one of the best conditioned courses on the Grand Strand.

Tidewater is one of the top courses in the country.  It offers challenging golf in a beautiful setting.

Location: Ocean Ridge Plantation, Ocean Isle Beach, NC

A Myrtle beach area golf course designed by Tim Cate, one of the area’s best architects and a resident of the Grand Strand.

A former rice plantation provides the setting for this championship layout designed by Clyde Johnston.  The course once hosted the LPGA Tour’s City of Hope Golf tournament.
